We at MotorOctane are expecting the on-road price of 2020 Mahindra Thar between Rs.11 to Rs.16 lakh approximately.
Roof Options
You cannot remove the hardtop. You get three types of roof options with the 2020 Mahindra Thar: 1) Fixed Hard Top 2) Flexible Soft Top 3) Fixed Soft Top. You can only remove the Flexible Soft Top roof for convenience.
Features on AX and LX
For those who are new, LX stands for the Luxury trim while AX stands for proper Off-road trim. Find out features below.

Freedom Drive in Mumbai did not have any scope for off-roading. You also get features like 42:1 Crawl Ratio, Electromechanical Driveline Disconnect, Mechanical Locking Rear Differential, Brake locking Differential for pure off-road lovers.

What if it rains upon Convertible?
The materials used in the Flexible Soft Top SUV are IP54 certified and are Dust and Sprinkle resistant.
Safety
In terms of safety, you get features like ESP, Hill hold, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Roll-over mitigation, 3-point seat belts and Iso-fix Seats for young off-roaders. You also get dual airbags with ABS and EBD
Features inside the car
You get Tyre pressure monitoring system, Tyre direction, and many more additional features for driver aid.
TouchScreen system
This the first Mahindra Thar to get touchscreen infotainment system factory-fitted inside it. You also get a dedicated off-road functionality to show stats.
Android Auto was absent but Apple Car Play was present.
Sensors
You get only rear parking sensors in the SUV. Rear parking camera was absent from the Freedom Drive unit of the car.
