Price

Name Price
Toyota Fortuner Rs.28.66 to Rs.36.88 lakh
VW Tiguan All-Space Rs.33.13 lakh
Honda CR-V Rs.28.27 lakh

According to the price these SUVs are not that close. The Fortuner has a price range which covers both the other SUVs. So this comparison might give an idea if you are confused between choosing a Toyota Fortuner or any other car.

Exteriors

VW Tiguan All Space: You will find many similarities with VW Tiguan here.  You can treat this new car as an extended version.  You get typical VW grille which is thick with projector headlamps.  DRLs also present.  The intake air slot upfront makes the car look sportier.

Tiguan Front

This is not a very tall SUV. Road presence is not a strong point of this car.  The real-life ground clearance is not very high too.  The rear profile is the same as VW Tiguan.  You get electric tailgate with a medium amount of boot space. Seats can be folded to increase boot space. Do follow us on Instagram if you want to get regular updates about the Automobile industry.

Toyota Fortuner: The segment leader needs no separate introduction. The electric boot lid here opens slowly and this is a more mechanically focused car.  The rear styling is different from its rivals here and similar to Endevaour and Alturas G4.

Fortuner

This car is known for its minimal yet dominating styling. Tiguan and CR-V are more of an urban SUV concept while the Fortuner is known for its dimensions. The front looks of the car is up for debate but you will get accustomed to it after some time.  The design though bold feels a bit dated to some customers.

Fortuner front

Honda CR-V:  This is a clearly underrated product.  The car is not as large as the Fortuner but leads in many other important things.  You get a sleek and stylish SUV for the city with easy manoeuvrability.  The car helps to stand out not due to dimensions but due to its overall design.  The rear profile of the car may look inspired by Volvo.  You get a MANUAL boot lid with no flat flooring after seats are folded.

Interiors

VW Tiguan All Space:  The interiors here are clean and minimalistic.  Build quality and Touch and Feel of materials is way better than anything else in the competition.  You get all-black interiors with small silver accents here and there. VW Tiguan also gets backlit keys for easy usage during night trips.  You also get many small storage spaces for practicality.  The door ‘Thud’ noise and NVH levels are praiseworthy.  You also get a big sunroof, a favourite feature among Indians.

Tiguan Rear

The touchscreen infotainment system is good quality with a dynamic reverse parking sensor.  You get fantastic-sounding speakers with more than enough loudness.  You also get various driving modes to choose from.  All digital instrument cluster is also present. Wireless charging, 360 camera, ventilated seats and some others are missed.  The second row is most suitable for two passengers due to the high central tunnel. The third-row legroom is OK but no headroom.  This space should mostly be considered for small children

Toyota Fortuner:  The Fortuner is a high-seating SUV with amazing road visibility.  The dashboard is not premium but quite sturdy and durable. You do not get a lot of features and types of equipment are pretty basic and old-age in nature.  NVH levels are higher here. You get twin glove box with paddle shifters which are present on all the three cars.  The music system is OK but definitely not better than Tiguan. There is huge legroom and headroom available in the second row.

You get roof-mounted rear AC vents with 3 adjustable head-rest.  Three passengers can comfortably sit in the second row of the SUV.  The overall comfort, however, is decent.  You also get AMPLE headroom in the third room. The Toyota Fortuner is the only SUV in the segment which is a real SEVEN-SEATER SUV.

Honda CR-V: Touch and Feel of the materials are fantastic.  The Honda CR-V is more premium than any other rival. Seat comfort and quality is good too.  You get a panoramic sunroof which is smaller than the Tiguan Allspace. The touchscreen infotainment system could have been better.

CRV front

You also get left side ORVM display on the screen.  The build quality in this car could have been more solid.  The music system here does not justify its price with lack of loudness being the main issue.  The second-row seat comfort is great in the CR-V. The third row has been removed in the BS6 petrol Honda CR-V
