5 Confirm Things about the Tata HBX (Added Spy Shots)

Harrier DNA

The concept car clearly looks like a baby Harrier. The front design with the daytime running lights above the headlights reminds you of the Tata Harrier. Overall the design is bold and strong. The platform is different from the Tata Harrier and instead, it is the same as the Altroz Platform – ALFA platform.

3 Cylinder Engine

This car will a small SUV with 3 cylinder engine. There is no confirmation on the Turbo engine but it is confirmed that the engine will be a 3 cylinder unit. Now it might be the same as the one seen on the Tata Tigor or Tiago.

This 3 Cylinder engine on the New Tata HBX might also aid in keeping the fuel efficiency under check. Also if it is shared with other Tata cars the cost could also see some effect from it. Both these factors confirm 2 more things about the New Tata HBX.

No Diesel Engine

A diesel engine on this car is unlikely as it a car in the smaller segment. Also if tata decides to give it diesel engine it will have to completely develop an engine solely for this car. This might not be a good idea when the industry is not seeing a positive buying behaviour. Another thing with the diesel BS6 engine would be the stark price difference that it might see in the variants.

Spyshots

This seems like a Base variant in the lineup of the New Tata HBX owing to the steel wheels. The lights also seem to be a normal led light. On the ORVM see the indicators too.

As the car takes a turn it also reveals that the daytime running light strip acts like a turn indicator. The window area is pretty large on this vehicle thereby it might make feel the car much airy.

Price Range

The price range of this car is expected to fall between the price of the Tata Nexon and the Tata Tiago. It might work as a bridge between them and provide with a good SUV option that will fill the gap of Micro SUV in the tata lineup.

5 Star Rating

The platform of the New Tata HBX is the ALFA architecture. Tata is pretty sure on that result that they are expecting from the crash test. A whooping 5 start rating is expected on this car. This is not a baseless claim as the Tata Altroz which uses the same platform has got a full 5 Star Rating.
