The teaser that has been released has been attached below. In short, it mentioned about the different milestones MG has achieved since their entry into the market. And lastly, it shows an image about what might come on the MG Gloster. The unveil or the launch of the car has not been specified and only a coming soon tag has been added.

What is Next-Gen Automotive Technology?

As shown in the video a self-driving technology will be seen in the car. What could be actually present on the car is a radar-based guidance system which might provide it with functions like an auto park system and safe distance braking. These features can be seen on a high-end premium luxury car. Getting it on a full-size SUV might be the first step in making that technology accessible to the masses.

Cost Effect

Providing this tech on a full-size SUV that will be bigger than the biggest existing full SUV in the current market will definitely affect the price. Most of the manufacturers do not put this assisted car tech on their car as a cost reduction measure. What we could expect with MG is that the company will give this feature only in the topmost variant. Therefore there will be a stark difference between the base variant and the flagship model.

Also, this might become the most expensive MG car that you can buy after its launch. Launch and unveil dates are not announced but the expectation is to see it by the start of next year.

Segment

As far as the segment in which this car will fit is not confirmed. But with the features on offer and the size of the car, it seems like a luxury offering. Comparing with other full size SUV will make them look less luxurious and low on space. It all depends on MG’s pricing structure and the way they place this SUV in the market!
