KTM 250 Adventure Spied – Expectations

Right at the start when the KTM Adventure was spotted in 2019 it was expected to be a 250cc bike. But now as we can see that the 390 is making waves in the market. If you don’t know about the 390 well I strongly recommend you to read the complete review here. The only problem with the 390 adventure is the high price. As we mentioned in our comparison the 390 adventure is as costly as both the Himalayan and Xpulse put together. KTM 250 Adventure Spied might be a way almost the same package will be delivered with a price cut.

Before we get to the expectations lets take a look at the spy shots of the bike. Spotting the KTM 250 Adventures gives credibility to the speculation of the bike to make it to production.

As you can see in the image above the bike looks very identical to that of the KTM 390 adventures. Even the TFT display has been kept constant which is the only difference between the Duke 250 and the Duke 390.

There is no windshield on the bike and it has a bit of camouflage wrap on some of the body panels. There is no changed to the wheels and other parts of the bike. Moving on the expectations lets get a better insight into what is expected from this low budget adventure bike that has been spotted.

Expectations

No traction control

One of the main reason why KTM 390 is expensive is because of electronics. Especially the traction control is a technology that is seen on bikes with a lot of horsepower. As the 250 will have less power it can do away with the traction control.

Ride by Wire

It is expected that the cycle parts of the vehicle will be shared with the BS6 250 KTM. Know more about that here. This means that a traditional throttle body with cable will be given instead of an electronic throttle.

More tractability

If KTM works upon the engine of the bike to make it more tractable. This might be easier to push to its limit and get the most out of it without intimidating the rider. Also if a bigger sprocket is provided at the rear the final drive will be better. A lot of serious offroaders are swapping the engine side sprocket of the KTM 390 adventure with the Duke 250.

Low price

As said before a low price is expected on the bike and that will be the USP. Other than that rest of the KTM 250 Adventure is expected to remain similar to the KTM 390 Adventure. KTM 250 Adventure Spied has not been seen very clearly we will have to wait for more information from future spy shots.
