All-new 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser was spotted in a Japanese port ready for shipping.  The car had similar branding as its predecessors along with a Final Edition badge attached to it.  The V8 engine which was available traditionally will be ditched and a new turbocharged and hybrid engine will be made available.

According to our sources Naveen Soni, Senior Vice President, Sales & Service, Toyota Kirloskar Motor told in a recent interview that Toyota has not given up on the Land Cruiser and “definitely in some form, shape, size you will see that product coming back.” This clearly suggests that the car will be launched in a new avatar and will surely be seen again.

The car which was spotted in Japan looks quite identical to the previous model along with minor tweaks.  The front grille and bumper has been redesigned.  LED headlamps and DRLs was also spotted on the car.  The interiors of the car have also been updated and add a fresh new touch to the vehicle.

Engine and Performance

The new Toyota LandCruiser may use a 3.5-litre V6 hybrid engine which produces a maximum power output of 295hp and a peak torque of 356Nm.  The recent Toyota LandCruiser came with a 4.5-litre D-4D V8 which produced a maximum power output of 313hp and a peak torque of 460Nm.

The new car will also be built on a new platform named TNGA.  This lighter chassis will make the car perform much better compared to its previous generation.  Emission norms will also be taken care of by the new model. Toyota may launch the car globally next year and bring the car to India by the end if 2021 or start 2022.
