Kia Sonet is the car that seems to have the potential to create some waves in the market. It is slated to launch soon and its world debut will be taking place in India. The Kia Sonet Teaser is out now. You can check it out right below.

Anything New Revealed?

The Kia Sonet teaser used the line Wild by design. The Kia Seltos uses the tag line Badass by design. Kia Sonet teaser conveys this by connecting the resemblance of the day time running lights of the vehicle to that of a Vampire. This is the first upfront revelation from the teaser. The rear of the car also is seen in the first camera angle where the LED taillamps are evident. There is also a strong presence of the rood rails and the rear window gets a wiper.

Interiors of the car still remain under wraps and are now visible in the Kia Sonet Teaser. So we are still left with assuming the design of that was shown at the Auto Expo 2020. The other things that we are expecting on the Kia Sonet are the same powertrains that are on the Hyundai Venue. This also means that the Kia Sonet will come with an iMT gearbox.

Engine

The engine options will be 1.2-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel engine and for sporty performance the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. One of the engines will be paired with the iMT gearbox giving it an edge over other competitors.

Unveil

The unveiling of the Kia Sonet will be on the 7th of August. The launch date with the complete pricing and the variants structure will be seen after that. This car will be for Kia as an entry point into a larger market of India. With the success of the Kia Seltos, the brand of Kia has got a place in the market. India getting their hands on a product before the rest of the world will also work in its favour.

Features

In terms of features, this Kia Sonet could get a 10-inch infotainment display with Android Auto Connect and Apple Carplay. Also, UVO connect will be integrated. It will also get flat-bottomed multi-functional steering wheel, ventilated seats, keyless entry, engine start/stop button, wireless charger, sunroof, ambient lighting system, automatic climate control and so on. As far as the Kia Sonet Teaser is considered there isn’t much new that is revealed through it.
