Ford EcoSport Gets New AT Variant

So as an attempt to keep the lineup, tight Ford has decided to launch the Automatic gearbox for the Ford EcoSport. The EcoSport competes in the hottest SUV segment in India. This segment has cars like the Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon which totally dominate the market.

Variants and Pricing

The Ford EcoSport Titanium AT has priced at Rs 10.66 lakhs. It gets a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine. It delivers a power of 120 bhp and a peak torque of 149 Nm is generated. The other variant is the Titanium+ AT. It is priced at Rs 11.56 lakhs.

Features

The Ford EcoSport gets a segment-first for offering paddle shifters. there is also cruise control, and push-button start/ stop system. Vinay Raina, Executive Director for Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India says, “With the new Titanium trim in the 2020 EcoSport line-up, we wish more consumers to enjoy the convenience of an automatic without compromising on the fun-of-driving.” he also added that the outstanding value on offer will ensure that the consumers no longer settle for underwhelming automatic technologies available in the market.

The Ford comes with other safety features like 2 airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, hill launch and much more.

This car has been setting a benchmark in value of ownership with 3-year or 100,000 KM standard warranty, longer service intervals of 10,000 KM, compared to 5,000 KM for most compact SUVs. Ford EcoSport owners spend as low as INR 1,400 for scheduled service in the first year while the 100,000-KM or 10-year service is surprisingly affordable at just INR 4,700.
