Who is the sibling?

Skoda Rapid Rider which was launched at an introductory price of Rs.7.49 lakh is the sibling of this new car. Skoda has to shut down the bookings of its own car owing to the large demand.  Seeing the positive feedback of the Indian public towards the car Skoda decided to increase its Skoda Rapid lineup in the country. 

What is the new Price and Performance?

The all-new Skoda Rapid Rider Plus costs Rs.7.99 lakh.  The engine unit is the same as before. A 1.0-litre Turbocharged Petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 108bhp and a peak torque of 175Nm. There were rumours about an automatic transmission but the new car comes with a 6-speed manual transmission as before. ARAI claimed mileage is at 18.97 km/l for the TSI petrol engine.

Exterior Changes

The Skoda Rapid Rider Plus features similar cosmetic styling as the previous car with minor design tweaks.  Some new additions to the exteriors include:

• 6.5-inch Touchscreen contrary to 2-DIN audio system
