2020 Hyundai Tucson Facelift Launched!

Hyundai Tucson was set to launch earlier but the COVID pandemic forced the manufacturers to delay. The new Tucson was first spotted in Auto Expo 2020 in February in India itself.  The company has finally launched the car officially. Find all details about Hyundai Tucson launch and Price below.

Price and Competition

The Hyundai Tucson is launched at Rs 22.3 lakhs. It will compete against the Jeep Compass and Honda CR-V. Two variants will be available for purchase with the facelifted Hyundai Tucson. GL option and GLS is set to be the variants on offer. The Jeep Compass on the other hand costs between Rs.16.49 to Rs.24.99 lakh. Honda CR-V, on the other hand, costs Rs.28.27 lakh.

Engine and Performance

The major change in this aspect will be that both its petrol and diesel engines have been updated to meet the BS6 norms. Hyundai has retained its customers by still providing a diesel option in this petrol-dominated market scenario.

The GLS variant will be comparatively pricier but would also feature increased performance levels. All-Wheel-Drive system will also be provided only with the GLS variant on the new Hyundai Tucson.

Exterior and Interior Changes

No major exterior changes have been made on the Hyundai Tucson facelift.  The facelift does come with a new version of the front grille which Hyundai dubs as ‘Cascading grille’, new headlamps and taillamps, redesigned front and rear bumpers to help differentiate from its predecessor.

Interiors may seem more changed on the first look. New dashboard design with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Hyundai’s BlueLink app are some of the major additions.  Wireless smartphone charger, panoramic sunroof and electric front passenger seat adjustment features may be reserved for the top-spec variant.
