Why is the booking closed?

The Skoda Rapid Rider with its bargain price is a steal and public has responded well too.  The demand for the new car is so much that Skoda has to temporarily shut down taking orders for new ones. There are too many booking left to be delivered and Skoda does not want to take any chances. However, the company has informed that the bookings will resume as soon as possible without providing a confirmed date.

Also, there is a Rider Plus that is expected to arrive as the lower base variant to this car. It will be slightly expensive. The extra cost will be for the extra colours and new alloy wheel designs.

Features and Specifications

The new Skoda Rapid Rider is a bang for your buck and let me show you how. For its market-beating low price you get features like climate control, electric OVRMs,  tilt and telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel, 2DIN audio system without a touchscreen and one-touch power windows down feature. The base variant comes with safety features like 2 airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors.  The car though is only available in two colour schemes: Carbon Steel and Candy White. 

Engine and Performance

This is the standout feature of the car. You get a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged TSI petrol engine which produces a maximum power output of 109bhp@5000rpm and a peak torque of 175Nm@1750-4000rpm. Skoda provides a 6-speed manual transmission which promises ‘Sheer Driving Pleasure’ for real.  Rumours suggest that Skoda could add an optional automatic transmission for a premium price. 

New Price

Some rumours suggest that Skoda could hike the price of the car to Rs.8.25 lakh. Skoda will provide some additional features and stuff to justify the higher price. Skoda may provide automatic transmission in the variant Skoda Rapid Rider Plus.
