In recent news, the commencement of the production of the MG Hector Plus has come forward. The production of the vehicle has been started in Halol Gujrat. Read more  Now Mg has put up the Hector Plus on Website. The manufacturer is all set to launch the SUV in India and has started accepting bookings. There have been a few instances where the MG Hector Plus is seen while being tested which has given us more idea about the vehicle. The SUV was expected to be seen in showrooms as you are reading this but the COVID-19 has caused the delay.

The Hector Plus is seen on the first page of the Website. Although the car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 the image on the Website is the front fascia of the vehicle. This does not differentiate against the MG Hector 5 seater. Also, the website offers an option to sign up for the booking and other updates regarding the MG Hector Plus. The website also has another image of the MG Gloster with the coming soon. In other news, the MG Gloster was seen while being tested. This was the most uncamouflaged version of the car.

Changes

Hector Plus Updates

The MG Hector Plus is slightly different from the normal hector. At the front, the chrome around the grille has been replaced with black gloss. The headlight design is slightly changed. Also, the front and rear bumpers are slightly different with a new design. The rear tail lamp and the skidplates have minor changes too. In spite of all these changes the platform of the car remains the same.

Interior changes

There are no interiors of the MG Hector Plus on the website. It gets tan-coloured seats with faux leather upholstery. There are the beige headliner and tan coloured dashboard panels too. There is a probability that the car will get captain seats in the second row making it a 6 seater. There will also be a 7 seater version with regular seats later. The car gets AC vents for 3rd row as well as adjustable headrests for all passengers.

Technology

MG Hector Plus 2020

Most of the technology in this car will be the same as on the MG Hector. The Connected car with MG voice command will be seen with a 10.4-inch touchscreen. The car will also have a sim inside which will enable OTA updates. The engine on this MG Hector Plus will be the same 2.0 litre Fiat engine and the 1.5 MG developed engine with mild-hybrid tech. Both these engines will have a 6-speed manual gearbox and the Automatic will be on petrol with DCT.

Pricing

There is no pricing of the New Hector Plus on website. But it is expected to be slightly higher than the 5 seat version. The 5 seat version is seen in the price range of Rs 12.74 lakhs to Rs 17.73 lakhs (Ex-showroom). More information will be available with the launch of the vehicle.
