Mahindra and Mahindra the homegrown SUV specialist launched the TUV300 in 2015 in the Indian market. Although the car was not a huge success, it sold decent units. Mahindra made the TUV300 on the same platform as the Scorpio and borrowed the engine from XUV500. The sub-compact SUV’s range was extended in 2018 with the arrival of TUV300 Plus.
Mahindra and Mahindra updated all of its offerings to comply with the BS6 emission norms, except the TUV300. Now the car has been removed from the official website itself. Has Mahindra discontinued the model? Only time can tell. However, rumours regarding a new updated BS6 TUV300 have been buzzing on for a very long time. This removal could also be a temporary step.
Mahindra in 2018, however, gave the TUV300, a mid-cycle refresh in the form of DRLs, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and reverse parking camera.

The new updated car will also come with the same engines but will be made BS6 compliant. Both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT will be on offer as before. A small bump in performance can also be expected.
The facelifted Mahindra TUV300 Plus has already been spotted road-testing for a couple of times post-lockdown. The new launch may be seen very much soon. A revised front look, new front grille and bumper, retouched rear end and updated headlamps were spotted on the test car.
The current generation TUV300 was priced between Rs.8.54 to Rs.10.55 lakh. TUV300 Plus, on the other hand, was priced between Rs.9.93 to Rs.11.42 lakh. Expect the BS6 versions to be costlier by Rs.50,000 to Rs.1 lakh depending upon the variant.
