Rumours regarding the launch of a new 2020 Honda WR-V have been going around in the market for quite a long time now. Though no official update has been announced, the 2020 Honda WR-V is very likely to launch soon. Reservations for the upcoming crossover for an initial payment of Rs.21,000 have been taken across showrooms for a few days now according to the sources.
The new Honda WR-V will serve as a mild update and no drastic changes will be visible. A restyled front grille, DRLs, front bumper with black bezels for fog lamps and black horizontal slats below the chrome bar will be the minor cosmetic changes on the new model.
Engine and Performance
Both the petrol and diesel engine will receive the BS6 update, the most significant change in the new model. The 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 90PS. While the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 100PS of maximum power. Only manual transmission will be available with the car and automatic transmission in the new model is also highly unlikely.
No substantial interior changes will be visible in the 2020 Honda WR-V. Everything will be carried over from the last generation model to keep the production cost low. However, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play will be present. Keyless entry, push-button Start/Stop, sunroof, automatic climate control, dual front airbags, multi-info display and ABS with EBD will be part of the overall package. Reverse Parking Sensors and Camera are also expected. New seat upholstery was spied on the 2020 Honda WR-V by our sources.
The current generation Honda WR-V costs Rs.8.08 lakh to Rs.10.48 lakh. It competes with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Creta.
