The premium MPV segment in the country is being dominated by Kia Carnival as of now along with some other foreign manufacturers. However, with the news of MG launching the MG G10 in the Indian market soon, Kia has rolled up its sleeves and teased a Kia Carnival 4th Gen.
The new Kia Carnival 4th Gen sports the Kia Seltos front grille for starters. The MPV retains its boxy-like looks but MPVs are always about space and practicality and less about looks. Straight lines on the bonnet give it an edge over the competition and the body looks streamlined on the render. The new designers have even dubbed the new model as ‘Grand Utility Vehicle’ according to sources owing to its futuristic new style, SUV inspired looks and a stronger and more stylish presence.

Kia and Google App
Kia Motors recently has announced the launch of ‘Kia Owner’s manual app’, an AI-based owner’s manual developed in partnership with Google Cloud and Megazone. What started as Android Auto and Apple Car Play has ultimately lead to this. According to the manufacturer, the new app is owner-friendly which explains the name of features found inside Kia models using the smartphone camera. Gone are the days of carrying physical owner manual and rummaging through pages finding a particular issue. In comes the time, when with the help of your smartphone you can get “authorized” help.
By utilizing Google Cloud’s unique AI platform based image learning technology, this app’s symbol scanner allows accurate identification of in-car switch symbols. Kia will roll out the app with new cars launching in the second half of 2020. Whether old customers will receive the package or not is not disclosed, but the app manages to win the grand prize in the Intelligent Application category at the 2020 Spring Conference of the Korea Intelligent Information System Society.
