What happens when you take the styling of a Honda Dio and give it the BS6 Honda Activa125 engine to it? The answer is you get the all-new Honda Grazia. Now, wait a second, that’s what we are guessing that Honda will do with the new Honda Grazia that they teased before launch. Honda recently released a teaser video showcasing the new Honda Grazia BS6 and there are quite a few things different here. Do take a look at the trailer of the Honda Grazia attached below.
Price Hike is common when manufacturers update their engines to meet BS6 emission norms from BS4. For example, the new Honda Activa6G BS6 is Rs.7, 500 costlier than its BS4 counterpart at Rs.64, 000. The Honda Activa 125 BS6 too was priced Rs.6, 800 more than the BS4 variant at Rs.67, 500. The BS4 Honda Grazia is priced around Rs.62, 025 and Rs.66, 397(ex-showroom). With a maximum price hike of Rs.8, 000 the new Honda Grazia BS6 may start at Rs.69, 000.

Honda has redesigned the scooter, giving it a sharper stance. The body panels on the side as well as the tail section and brake-light assembly has been tweaked by the Honda design team. You get a new sleeker LED unit for the headlight and LED DRLs, higher up on the front apron.
Instrument Cluster Changes
A new twin-pod digital instrument cluster was showcased in the official video by Honda. The larger screen consists of tachometer and speedometer while the secondary screen consists of clock, trip meter and fuel gauge. According to our sources, Honda has revealed in its press notes that the new Honda Grazia BS6 will be “incredibly intelligent”, so expect the scooter to show much more information like range and real-time efficiency, features present only in modern cars.
Engine and Performance
The BS4 offering of both Grazia and Activa share the same engine, i.e. a 124.88cc air-cooled carburetted single-cylinder engine making 8.52bhp @ 6,500rpm and 10.54Nm @ 5,000rpm. The BS6 versions too will share the same engine a 124cc liquid-cooled engine produces 8.1hp and 10.3Nm of torque. Performance figures for Grazia have still not been revealed but expect the scooter to perform slightly better due to its power to weight ratio and performance-oriented tune.
Honda Motorcycle India will be adding its new ‘Silent Start Technology’ (auto start/stop) or ACG starter in the new Honda Grazia BS6. This system is becoming standard across Honda’s scooter line-up. HET (Honda Eco Technology) and Enhanced Start Tumble are two internal highlights.
