Where is the E KUV100?
The battle between Electric and internal combustion cars have gone on a different level after the launch of electric cars by all the major manufacturers and the benefits of them towards a greener earth. As a result, Mahindra showcased the E KUV100 in Auto Expo 2020 in India but still, no production news has made its way to the market.
New Managing Director in Town
Mahindra and Mahindra made Mahesh Babu as CEO and MD of the company with effect from May 7th, 2020. Under Mahesh Babu’s guidance, all the EV related projects have been carried out. He has been effective in developing Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture – MESMA 350 platform, in-house development of electric three- and four-wheelers, and components. He has also been actively involved in setting up of Mahindra’s Rs 200 crore EV plant in Chakan.
Under his leadership, Mahindra has launched 4 new EV vehicles and mobility platform NEMO( Next-Generation Mobility) and has been a major factor of key partnerships between Mahindra and Auroville, Uber, LG chem, Zoomcar Lithium Urban Technology and Blu Smart. As seen above, the micro-SUV is rumoured to come with many rings and bells for a competitive price and added benefit of subsidy by the government. When launched it can be a great option for first-time car buyers in cities and small towns. Charging Infrastructure is still not very strong in India but if planned correctly you can absolutely survive with an EV. Now only we need to wait for some confirmed news from Mahindra&Mahindra.
