GWM-Haval-Rear

Great Wall Motor is the largest SUV and pickup manufacturer in China. GWM owns four major brands – Haval,  Great Wall Pickup, Ora and Wey. The Chinese automobile manufacturer had already shown quite a bit of line up at the 2020 auto expo. The manufacturer has decided to enter the Hot Indian market but is yet to confirm the models for us. They had show cased some of their products at the Auto Expo. Do check out the video below

Points to look out for

  1. GWM Haval will reveal the car officially in the second half of 2020
  2. The styling looks dated and boxy but borrows bits and pieces from its siblings
  3. It is built on a completely new platform with cues from Haval’s F and H series SUVs
  4. As long as the price and other details are shared with us, no definite predictions can be made about the car.

What about price and performance?

Haval F5

No price details can still be speculated about the car. Only the exterior looks of the car have been spotted. The GWM Haval BO6 uses a new platform and is different from the ongoing cars can be said. Rumours suggest a 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines in various states of tunes, which can be used on this new SUV. Expect the performance of this vehicle to be like a full-size SUV.

GWM Haval B06 SUV Exteriors

Seeing the GWM Haval BO6 for the first time, frankly speaking, it gives you the memories of the TATA SUMO Gold which was a highly successful car in the Indian market history. Do read more about the SUMO 2020 and also find a video inside. Coming back to GWM Haval the boxy looks and retro design may work in its favours but depends on your personal taste. SUV components to the exterior of the car give it an overall rugged look. This SUV has been designed under the brand’s current VP and global design director, Phil Simmons. Simmons had previously worked at Land Rover as a design director.

There are some rounded edges for balance but are minimally placed. Round headlights and the big muscular front bumper and grille clearly shows that this car means business. You may compare it as an elder brother of an S-Presso especially due to the car’s current Orange colour but is ahead of the former in all aspects. If you are a fan of Mercedes-Benz G-class, you may feel that this car has been inspired by it.

Any details about the interiors?

Haval has not officially released any images showing the interiors of the car but speculations are being made about highly plush interiors. Also, the interiors on the Haval F5 might be an inspiration to this car’s interiors too.

All modern features like a large screen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster will surely be part of the new car. Expect the rugged look of the car to be carried forward in the interiors. For more details stay tuned.
