Will Nissan Magnite launch in 2020 or 2021?

With Compact SUV market becoming the battlegrounds of our country, it is no surprise that every car manufacturing company wants to introduce its fighter here! The market which is currently dominated by Hyundai Venue and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza may see tough competition in the coming times. Now in recent news, Nissan has released their video showcasing cars to be launched in the coming times in Japan. But for us Indians, Nissan Magnite is all that matters.

The compact SUV has specifically been designed to compete with the Indian contenders. Coming straight to the point.

Price

To beat Hyundai Venue in the Indian Market, there is only one weapon and that is pricing. If the New Nissan Magnite is priced competitively in the Indian market, customers here will be more than happy to buy this Car. Everything boils down to price so if Nissan wins only in this particular field, it can easily grab a major chunk of the market.

Hyundai Venue provides the most basic variant of its car for ₹6.50 lakh which is already very affordable but if Nissan wants to beat Hyundai on their own game it needs to anyhow set the price lower than this. If there is a considerable difference in price between both the car models, the masses will definitely shift toward the lower-priced car. The Magnite’s disruptive pricing could shake up the compact SUV segment.

Exteriors

The first exterior look clearly tells you that this car will be made to stand out. Bold and muscular, the strong angular lines on the body are a delight to eyes.

It will surely make the eyes turn in the Indian Market. The first look of the car shows an angular hexagonal large grille and intakes on the front of the car.

Daytime LED running lights can also be a standard feature in this car. Like the Kwid climber, expect the car to come with all SUV visual add ons. The wheel cladding, ride height and wheel size will be pretty much like any other Compact SUV. The overall styling of the car screams aggression.

New Nissan Magnite Interiors

Though the interior has not been officially displayed by the company expect all the modern features and amenities to be present in this car. This New Nissan magnite might be available in multiple variants and will come with the majority of the premium features.

Dual-tone interior, sunroof, a 360-degree parking camera, connected car tech, and automatic climate control are some of the things to expect. But nothing has been officially revealed so these all are speculations and expectations.

New Nissan Magnite Engine

This car may very well be petrol only. With the advent of BS6 in India, the majority of car manufacturers have scraped their diesel engines and Nissan may be no different.

It knows that for success in the Indian market, petrol is the way to go to grab the masses. The lower variant is expected to produce 72hp from a 1.0-litre petrol engine while the higher variant will produce about 95 hp from a turbocharged version of the engine. AMt and CVT options in the car are also highly likely.

Launch Date

Nothing has been officially confirmed still, but the video by the auto manufacturer itself promises a lot of things. Rumours suggest an approximate launch date of August 2020. Due to the present pandemic, the date may get shifted but whenever the car comes, it surely will turn around a lot of heads!

The New Nissan Magnite has not been confirmed yet by the company but we have a speculation that the car will be launched this year by Diwali. Diwali and the festive season in India is where most of the manufacturers will focus on gaining maximum profits. But if the question about waiting for this car arises then we can’t give assurance on what will be offered. There are other compact SUV in the market and Nissan has the new Kicks which has the most powerful engine in the segment.
