The recently partnered Ather Energy and Bounce also have a very unique and different way of owning a scooter, quite opposite of the Zoomcar Subscription plan. Bounce is a Bengaluru based bike-sharing platform. It was founded back in 2013, so bike-sharing is quite an old thing in Bengaluru. However, the interesting is that Ather Energy has partnered with the Bounce and now onwards the Ather scooters can be listed on the Bounce platform. User can list the scooter when it is not in use, and offer it for rent.

Yes, of course, Ather and Bounce have taken the existing customers into consideration as well. However, the owner of the Ather 450 or 450X has to re-register their private electric scooter as a commercial which will cost you some extra charges.

What can be the earnings?

After paying extra charges for the RTO, you will be wondering if that will be get covered? Well, Bounce says that owners can earn up to Rs 2,500 in just eight days or only renting it on weekends of a month.

Is it Safe?

This is where the Ather’s smart connectivity features come into play. You can track your scooter with the help of Ather’s app.

You can monitor various things such as speed, route taken, the pattern of usage, battery health, etc.

What about maintenance?

Ather has offered a specific package which takes cares of wear and tear associated with the multi-rider usage under the P2P program. The plan also includes free access to fast-charging stations in Bengaluru for one year.

The P2P plan of Ather smart connectivity costs Rs 3,000/year.

While the maintenance package in P2P costs Rs 9,588/ year. So you will save a lot of money in your first year. Nevertheless, the cost seems quite expensive and will surely raise many questions in your mind. Let us know what do you think of this plan.

Bounce has also partnered with several other companies to grow the two-wheeler sharing infrastructure. Last week, Bounce has also announced its partnership with Mumbai based company, the CredR. CredR is a two-wheeler buying and selling platform and has quite a spread across India. The Bounce will be offering CredR’s scooters on its platform and also offering the rent-to-own model.
