Bajaj Auto has a hiked the price for almost all of its bikes. According to the reports, the price hike varies from model to model and average price hike is about Rs 2,000-3,000. However, the two Bajaj bikes have not undergone a price hike that includes Dominar 250 and Avenger Street 160.

Bajaj Bikes Price Hike

Bajaj’s commuter bikes such as CT 100, CT 110, Platina 100, Platina 110 H-Gear has seen a price hike of Rs 499 over the previous pricing. While the Bajaj Pulsar 125 has undergone a price hike of Rs 999. The significant price hike has been seen with Bajaj Pulsar 150  and 150 Neon. The Pulsar 150 has hiked Rs 2,000 whereas, the Pulsar 150 Neon has been hiked by almost Rs 4,500.

The bigger Pulsars such as Pulsar 180F, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS160. Pulsar NS200 have gone through price hike of Rs 3,000. The Bajaj Dominar 400 and Bajaj Avenger Cruise has gone through the price hike of Rs 3,000 and 2,500 respectively.

We actually loved that Bajaj didn’t hike the price of the Dominar 250. Bajaj Dominar 250 is the latest entry from the manufacturer, it was launched just before the COVID-19 pandemic situation in India. That might be the reason for not hiking the price of the bike.

KTM and Husqvarna Price Hike

It seems that Bajaj Auto has limited the bigger price hike for the premium bikes. Bajaj’s partially owned KTM and Husqvarna bikes have also seen a price hike. The average price hike for the KTMs and Huskys was about Rs 4,000. Bajaj has restarted the production facilities in India under the guidelines of the Government.

Dealerships opened

The company has also opened dealerships across the country. The intensive care will be taken while buying a new bike from the dealers. However, the waiting period for bikes has increased significantly. The latest reports say that KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles have a waiting period ranging from 45 days to three months. Bajaj motorcycles will definitely have lesser waiting period when compared to KTMs and Huskys but will be higher than the normal waiting period.

The reason behind the price hike might be to cover the loss caused due to the pandemic situation. However, the manufacturer has not given any specific reason for the price hike. Other manufacturers are also on the way to hike the price of their motorcycles as well.
