Benelli has been slightly missing to hit the market at the right spot. The TNT 600i was expected to get an upgrade pretty long time ago but that never did happen till now. The manufacturer hinted various times of the upgraded model in the form of studio image and also at the EICMA 2019. So pretty much it excited us about the launch but the manufacturer kept checking the patience.

The showcased model at the EICMA had some upgraded features such as new LED headlamp, TFT display, etc. The engine also was been upgraded to pass the emission norms. Now, finally, the completely new 600 cc bike has been spotted but it’s not the 600i. The bike has been named as SRK 600, at least it seems from the decals. The Benelli SRK 600 has various changes when compared side by side with the 600i, let’s see what they are.

Benelli SRK 600

Design

The Benelli SRK 600 has much more aggressive-looking headlamps. The tank design and side panels are now much sharper than 600i. However, the seat is a single-piece seat unlike the split unit of the Benelli 600i. Also, the exhaust pipe is positioned conventionally at the sideways unlike the under-seat exhaust of 600i.

Nevertheless, it seems that Benelli will be launching various bikes on the same platform. Honestly, the Benelli SRK 600 looks much better bike than the Benelli 600i. So we hope that Benelli should bring this model in India.

Powertrain

The powertrain will be borrowed by the 600i. It is a 600 cc inline-four, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled unit. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch The current BS4 format engine produces about 85.07 bhp max power and 54.6 Nm of peak torque. However, the model showcased at EICMA produced about 81.6 bhp max power and 51 Nm of peak torque. So we can expect the BS6 model to have later power and torque figures.

Cycle Parts

Talking about the cycle parts, it will be coming with USD forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. The rear mono-shock also enhances the overall design of the bike. Nevertheless, expect it to have Pirelli tyres of 120-section for front and 180-section for the rear. We don’t have clear numbers of the brake sizes but we can assume it to have the twin disc size of 320 mm at the front and 260 mm disc at the rear.

Price

Benelli SRK 600 price should be around Rs 6.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) if launched in India. The bike is still unsure for India. It solely depends on the manufacturer’s decision to bring which model in India, 600i or SRK 600. Let us know in the comment section which bike do you really want for India.
