In the mileage hungry nation, you might have been aware of the questions raised regarding the mileage. There’s a very common phrase used “Kitna deti hai?“. So Indian manufacturers are very conscious about the mileage of the bike. Hero Splendor is one of the popular bikes which is well known for its mile run per litre. However, there are few other bikes in the market as well, which are also claimed to return good mileage. Let’s find these bikes and then we’ll see if Hero Splendor is really the mileage king or not?

TVS Sport

TVS Sport

TVS Sport has been awarded as the best mile efficient bike by the Asia Book of Records. The bike had claimed mileage of 95 km/l. However, the tests performed by the Asia Book of Records were based on real-time fuel consumption. It returned about 76.4 km/l average mileage. However, the test was taken in 2019 when the bike was equipped with smaller 99.7 cc engine. The 2020 model comes with a bigger 110 cc fuel-injected engine so that will be interesting to see whether it’s still the best or not. Currently, the company claims that it is supposed to return 15 percent better mileage due to the fuel injection.

Bajaj Platina 100

Bajaj Platina

When we talking about the mileage, then we cannot miss the Bajaj Platina. Previously, it had the company claimed mileage of 104 km/l. The numbers are really staggering, it’s like you are running a motorcycle for less than Rs 1/ km. However, owners claim that the bike returns about 70 km/l on an average riding condition which is still impressive. Due to the arrival of the fuel injection, it is supposed to return even better mileage. We are expecting that it might be the upcoming best mile efficient bike recognised by the Asia Book of Records.

Bajaj CT 100

Bajaj CT 100

Bajaj CT 100 is basically a cost-effective version of Bajaj Platina 100. It shares the engine with the Platina 100. So it should provide slightly better mileage than Platina as it is slightly lighter than Platina 100.

TVS Star City Plus

TVS Star City Plus is also quite popular for its mileage. The company claimed mileage of the bike is about 86 km/l which is impressive considering that it is a 110 cc bike. Nevertheless, it has been seen that 110 cc bikes tend to have a bigger drop in real-world mileage due to more loss in idle conditions. So we’ll stick with 100 cc bikes.

Hero HF Deluxe

Hero HF Deluxe shares the same engine as of the Hero Splendor Plus. There’s not much of a difference in the claimed mileage. Company has claimed the mileage of more than 80 km/l. However, owners claimed that it returns about 65 plus mileage in the real world conditions Same is the case with Splendor Plus also as many Splendor Plus owners also claimed 65 km/l average mileage.

If we take all the above bikes into the consideration then it seems that currently Bajaj Platina and CT 100 are the two bikes that can return a mileage of more than 75 km/l and we can say them as current mileage kings.
