Husqvarna 250 siblings had made a successful debut in the Indian market. The pricing of the Husqvarna 250 twins is lower than the KTM 250 series which is quite unusual and good indeed. Nevertheless, Husqvarna is planning to launch the bigger Huskys the 401 twins. These 401 twins are expected to be even more competitive than the 401 twins in the respective segment. Let’s see what these bikes will possess after the launch and of course when will it launch? Well, let’s find it out.

Engine

Now, most of us are aware that Bajaj KTM and Husqvarna are in a JV. Due to this, many hardware parts and engine is shared within these manufacturers. For Reference, the 250 cc engine from KTM is shared with the Bajaj Dominar 250, Husqvarna 250 twins and also the KTM’s 250 Duke. The similar will be the case with the Husqvarna 401 twins. It will be getting the same engine as of the KTM 390 Duke’s or RC 390. The engine is a 373 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled unit that produces about 42,3 bhp max power and 37 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with the 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Also, it has bi-directional quick shifter as well.

Hardware

The Husqvarna 401 is more likely to share its hardware with the KTM 390 Duke. The bike will be getting USD forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear. However, the suspension might be tuned differently. The braking on the 390 Duke is done with the help of 320 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. So we can expect the same braking on the Husqvarna 401 twins as well. The international spec 401 comes with anodised spoke wheels which are kind of suspicious for India bound model as it will raise the price of the bike.

Features

Husqvarna 401

The Husqvarna 401 twins will be equipped with LED headlamps, LED taillamps, indicators and DRLs. It will be getting a fully digital instrument cluster similar to the 250 twins. The brakes will be assisted with the dual-channel ABS. The international spec comes with the front telescopic suspension adjustment as well, we hope this to come in India as well. Nevertheless, the bike will be pretty much feature loaded. The design of the bikes is very much similar to the 250 Huskys with some tweaks to differentiate it.
