Rise in Expectations

As RE 650 twins created a nice momentum for the manufacturer, it will be interesting to see what will be the upcoming projects manufacturer will consider. It was recently suggested and also previously rumoured that Royal Enfield will be working on the Himalayan 650, and also on the bigger displacement engines. This alone creates the hype for the upcoming RE lineup. As the image and expectation of the manufacturer have been increased, the next task for the manufacturer is to increase is its presence. Currently, the production plants are situated in Chennai. After the rise in the export demand, the manufacturer will have to increase the capacity and meet the demand. So, the manufacturer has the task to meet the demand as quickly and possible and simultaneously increase its presence. Currently, the waiting period for the Interceptor and Continental GT is around 15 days to 3 months in major cities which is quite a lot.

Price

The Royal Enfield 650 twins cost Rs 2.6-3 lakhs (ex-showroom) that makes these bikes a nice value for money product.

It competes against other mid-displacement motorcycles in the world. Indian Competitors include KTM Duke 390, Honda CB300, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and BMW G310R.
