You can find out more about the facelift Honda Jazz below.

Overview

Honda Jazz facelift

The Jazz is known to be a sort of premium hatchback and has worked fairly well in the past in the Indian market. The biggest factor is that you get the Honda quality along with loads of interior space and competitive pricing. But with the trend of the SUVs and the crossovers in the Indian market, the Jazz had lost its significance and was doing poorly in terms of sales.

Honda Jazz facelift design

The most distinctive change seen in the car is the addition of LED headlamps with day time running lights along with new fog lamps. The design of the grille will also be changed. The Honda Jazz facelift will also get certain changes to the bumper design. The car will look like the face-lifted Jazz that is available globally. Although, the design of the alloy wheels is expected to be the same. The interiors of the car are also expected to remain largely unchanged. It could get an updated infotainment system that could have some sort of connected car technology.

Honda Jazz facelift engine

The Honda Jazz facelift will get the same 1.2-litre petrol version that produces 90 bhp and 110Nm of torque.

The diesel, on the other hand, is a 1.5-litre unit that produces 99 bhp ad 200Nm of torque. The BS6 versions of these engines will also produce the same amount of power. The petrol comes with a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The diesel meanwhile is only offered with a six-speed manual. But with the BS6 updates, this could also get a CVT gearbox.

Honda Jazz Electric

Amidst all this facelift and the BS6 transition, there has been no news on the Honda Jazz electric. With Indian companies like Tata in the electric market, we also expect Honda Jazz to come as an electric offering. Maruti is also developing an electric WagonR which will be ready by 2021. As there is a sufficient amount of charging station in India, we will see a growth in this electric car segment. This is where we expect Honda to come with there Honda Jazz Electric as the first electric offering of the company.

Pricing and competition

The pricing of the Honda Jazz facelift will have to be very competitive by Honda or else the car might continue to perform poorly in the sales department. The rivals would be the Tata Altroz, and Hyundai i20, although it could be priced higher than these cars.
