So is it that good? well, we have five reasons to buy this bike and these reasons might also be the reason for Pulsar 125’s success. What are those? let’s check it out.

1.Power

We, motorcycle enthusiasts, are always excited to know the power figures, acceleration, top speed and even the bike is from Pulsar Family, so it’s obvious that it has something extra for the bike enthusiasts. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 comes with 124.4 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine. The engine produces segment-leading 11.6 bhp max power and 11 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated with a 5-speed gearbox. The claimed top speed of the bike is at 100 km/hr but many riders reported the top speed of more than 110 km/hr which is pretty impressive. There are no official acceleration figures but we can expect it to have better acceleration over the rivals.

2.Pulsar Brand

Along with the segment-leading performance, the bike has the Pulsar factor. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 shares the similar chassis and body panels as of Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180. The tank has nice neon coloured Pulsar Badging and also the matt colour suits well. The engine is the bore down version of the Pulsar 150 so you do get similar thump and exhaust note as of Pulsar 150, but slightly smaller.

Overall, you get the bike that looks and feels similar to the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180.

3.Features

The bike comes with lots of segment-leading features. The bike comes with pilot headlamps, LED taillamps, semi-digital instrument cluster, engine kill switch, five-step adjustable rear shock absorber, combined braking system. The handlebar unit is a clip-on type which also is a segment-first feature. You also get sporty seats and disc brake (optional) which are again segment-leading. So overall, the features are upmarket and segment-leading.

4.Mileage

With the best in class performance, the bike also returns pretty nice mileage. The claimed mileage is around 62 km/l but we can expect the real-world mileage around 55-60 km/l which is good enough.

5.Price

The price of the bike is very aggressive and competitive. The price of the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar 125 starts at Rs 69,997 and goes up to Rs 74,118 (both prices ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the disc variant. It offers better value for money over its rivals. The Bajaj Pulsar 125 competes against Honda CB Shine, Honda SP 125, and Hero Glamour.
