Previously, it was expected that Bajaj will be launching the Pulsar 125 LS by replacing the 135 LS. However, Bajaj has surprised all of us by offering the Pulsar 125 with the body and chassis of bigger Pulsar 150 and 180. So is there still any chance of Pulsar 135 LS to come back in India.

Bigger Displacement

Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS

Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is equipped with a 135 cc single-cylinder engine. Many of us are aware of the govt rule regarding the brakes. It says that the bike above 125 cc should possess at least a single-channel ABS.  So Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS will be priced at significantly up of the segments chart, which is not good. However, due to bigger displacement, the bike produced around 13.4 bhp max power and 11.4 Nm of peak torque. The power is quite high than other 125 cc bikes or even similar to some of the 150-160 cc bikes. The reason for the better power was its four-value motor, yes, the bike engine had four-values which was first in the segment. This made a significant improvement in the performance of the vehicle. Also, the bike has an amazing power to weight ratio.

Design

The Design of the bike was quite unconventional when compared to other Pulsar’s. The bike had very sharp and aggressive styling. The tank also had fairing that made the bike to appear bigger. The headlamp unit had two pilot lamps, the taillamp unit possessed LED lights which was also first in the segment. Overall, the bike had very transformer like looks. However, the design was not appreciated widely as it did not resemble the Pulsar lineup. But if it is reintroduced now then the bike might gain more attention as now it will be in sync with the sports lineup of pulsars.

Sales

As said earlier, the bike was not appreciated widely, so this resulted in a decrease in sales over time. In the end, Bajaj made a decision to replace it with Pulsar 125. The Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS has very little to zero per cent chance to revive in the current state. However, we hope that at some point Bajaj should try to relaunch the motorcycle with the 125 cc engine.

Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS

The Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS was quite ahead of its time, it featured semi-digital instrument cluster, kill switch, auto choke and more. The bike also had a nice sporty exhaust note at least at the higher rpm. The rear mud-guard of the bike was similar to the sporty 150-160 cc motorcycle. Also, the bike had split seats, floating type number plate which also added the sportiness to the motorcycle. The bike competed against the Honda Shine SP (now just SP), Hero Glamour and TVS Phoenix.  The last noted price of the bike was at Rs 64,180.
