Whenever a manufacturer introduces a vehicle in the market he expects the vehicle to gain a certain amount of sales in the market. But sometimes these manufacturers judge the market or do not have future sight. Although when this happens we are left with cars which do not have good sales. So in today’s article, I am going to put forth a list of cars Flop Cars in the Indian market.

VW Ameo

This car was a good idea to introduce a sedan version of the Polo. This would have been a great offering from Volkswagen to compete with the Swift Dzire. But the company missed judging their customers who valued performance over the extra boot space. If they wanted a sedan then they had the option of Vento and people were willing to pay more for the sedan features. The sales of the Volkswagen Ameo was all-time low and this car finally got discontinued in the wake of BS6 norm. As of now, there is no news for the replacement of this vehicle and hence it makes it to the list of Flop Cars.

Fiat Avventura

This Fiat vehicle makes it to the list of flop cars because it was a half baked effort from fiat. The Fiat Avventura is a vehicle that was a crossover version of the Fiat Punto. This had a spare wheel mounted at the rear.

The signature style was that the wheel had to be moved aside before opening the boot. Imagine if the car has been parallel parked then this meant that to open the boot of the car you had to move the vehicle a bit and then open the boot. The purpose of a hatchback is easy to drive and access the car which was totally missing on this vehicle. Also, the competition of the vehicle was the Ford Eco sport which was a proper micro SUV. The fiat company was suffering because of poor sales and marketing repute. This car eventually got discontinued because of poor sales and entered into our list of flop cars.

Nissan Kicks

Nissan kicks is a product that was made based on the Nissan Terrano. The company had no reason to bring in a new 5 seater SUV in the market. If they would have priced it cheaper then it would have generated some sales. People prefered the Terano over the Kick as it looked better and offered more features too.

Mahindra NuvoSport

This car was so flop, that many of you might not even have heard about it. The car was considered as the facelift of the Mahindra Quanto. Technically the car was built on a new platform but it had the same styling and so people did not grow fond of it. This car was introduced in the year 2016 and Ford EcoSport gave it a tough competition.

Also even though this car was a better car than the Quanto it fell prey to the people’s perception of being a bad car.

Renault Captur

The Renault was known for its Renault Duster. The Capture was placed as a competitor for the Hyundai Creta which was eating into the sales of the Renault Duster. The Hyundai Creta was a premium offering and the Renault Captur did not keep up with that Trend. This made the company let the Renault Captur enter the list of flop cars.
