Suzuki Access 125 is considered as one of the best value for money scooter in the market. It’s the most affordable 125 cc scooter currently available in the market. However, the scooter misses out on some of the features that have been seen on other 125 cc scooters. These missing features of the Suzuki Access 125 make it look outdated as time passes. So here are the Suzuki Access 125 features that we expect to make the scooter up-to-date with the current trend.

1. Bigger wheel size

The Suzuki Access 125 gets 12-inch inch wheel at the front while a 10-inch inch wheel at the rear. Other 125 cc scooters in the segment are equipped with both 12-inch wheels. The smaller 10-inch wheel does help the Access 125 to have better initial torque but it looks little awkward and also lowers the ground clearance. Making this one of the Suzuki Access 125 features will give the scooter a competing edge with other sporty scooters.

2.Instrument Cluster Features

The trend is now shifting towards the digital instrument cluster. Suzuki Access still comes with a semi-digital white themed instrument cluster which is not bad but is now quite old. In the latest BS6 update the instrument cluster has been added with the LED lighting on the side that denotes the throttle input.

3. Fuel Lid

In the BS6 update, Suzuki Access 125 did get the external fuel cap but to open the tank cap we need the key. The feature has done a partial job as we don’t now need to open the seat. However, other 125 cc scooters have access through the multifunctional key switch at the front.

4. Side Stand Engine Inhibitor

The Suzuki Access 125 misses out on the Side Stand engine inhibitor and as well as side stand indicator. The inclusion of this feature would have raised its safety by a significant amount. However, we can expect this feature in its next update.

5. Smart Start-Stop System

The smart start-stop system is now pretty common in various scooters. It switches off the engine when the scooter comes to a halt and can be easily started by just twisting the throttle. Hero calls this system as the i3s technology while Honda has named it an idle start-stop system. Due to this system, real-world mileage gets an increase of 10-15 per cent.

Suzuki Access 125

Overall, the Suzuki Access 125 is a very nice product and offers many practical features such as USB charging port, cubby space, LED headlamps, carry handles, bigger under-seat storage space and long seat. The scooter gets a 125 cc fuel-injected engine that produces around 8.6 bhp max power and 10 Nm of peak torque. The scooter just weighs 103 kgs which is damn impressive. We can expect this scooter as the best power to weight ratio among its rivals. The Suzuki Access 125 starts at Rs 66,800 (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 68,500 (ex-showroom). It competes against the Honda Activa 125, TVS Ntorq, Yamaha Fascino 125.
