When the Scorpio was launched in the market it was the car that went head-on with the Tata Sumo. The Sumo will be a people’s carrier and will be competing against the Mahindra Scorpio. The Scorpio is a seven-seater SUV from Mahindra that has been doing very well in the market. The new Sumo will be a more refined car. The Sumo will also come with similar features. Both cars are expected to sell well in cities and even better in rural areas. Therefore the Tata car will mostly undercut the Scorpio in terms of pricing. It is not known when the Tata Sumo will be launched while the Mahindra Scorpio will be launched soon.
