Tata Tiago has been considered as a segment leader in terms of its performance, features and safety. The hatchback recently went through a BS6 upgrade, in which it also has undergone various exterior as well as interior upgrades. Let’s see what features do we get on the respective Tata Tiago Variants.

Tata Tiago Engine

As said earlier, the Tata Tiago gets the most powerful engine in the segment. It comes with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that produces around 84 bhp max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated with the 5-speed manual gearbox. The 5-speed AMT gearbox is limited to the XZA variants. So if you are in search of the automatic variant then you may directly scroll down towards the XZA variants. We get the option of only one engine on the BS6 version of the vehicle.

XE Variant

The XE variant is the most basic among the Tata Tiago Variants. The XE variant comes with the basic wheel hubs, the door handles and the ORVMs are also not body-coloured. The ORVMs do not get the LED turn indicators rather it is on the front fenders. The interior of the XE shares similar upholstery as of the other trims. It gets the basic practicality features such as bottle-holder, storage glove box, grab handles, front power outlet. The variant doesn’t come with any infotainment system either. The instrument panel is common between all the variants, it is a digital unit that shows much of the needed information of the vehicle.

We have to appreciate Tata for its safety features. Even the base variant XE comes with the engine immobilizer, driver and co-passenger airbags, seatbelt with pre-tensioners and load limiters, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and corner stability control. The comfort features include manual air-conditioner with heater, tilt-adjustable steering, front wiper 7-speed, driver footrest, tinted glass.

XT variant

The XT variant retains all the XE variant features and gets some additional features over it. From the exterior, it gets body-coloured door handle and ORVMs, wheel cap. The ORVMs do have integrated LED turn indicators. At the interior, the XT variant gets piano black finish on the steering wheel, infotainment system. The variant also have a rear parcel shelf which was missing on the base XE trim. This is also one of the improtant variant of the Tata Tiago Variants

Unlike the XE trim, the XT trim gets an infotainment system by Harman with four speakers and four tweeters. The infotainment system has Bluetooth connectivity and we can have Tata’s Juke control app to make our playlist of songs. The additional safety feature in the XT variant includes speed dependent auto door locks and follow-me-home lamps. Comfort and convenience feature includes all the XE variant features, additionally, it gets power windows for all windows, central locking, adjustable headrest for the front seats and electrically adjustment for ORVMs.

XZ/XZA variant

Along with the XT variant features, the variant comes with some additional premium features. The exterior of the XZ/XZA trim gets fog lamps and black finish on the B-pillar. At the interior, the XZ/XZA variant comes with body-coloured side air vents and chrome finish around the air vents. The chrome insert on the gear knob is limited to the XZA variant.

The infotainment system is a 17.38 cm touchscreen system by Harman. The infotainment system allows the voice command, Android Auto, Apple Car Play, image and video playback and much more. The additional safety feature over the XT variant, it gets is day and night IRVM. Over the XT variant, it gets vanity mirror for co-driver side, cooled glove box, Auto folding and unfolding ORVMs, height-adjustable driver seat and one shot down on driver side window.

XZ+/XZA+ variant

This is the topmost of all the Tata Tiago Variants. It gets dual-tone sporty alloy wheels and optional black roof. The infotainment system is the same as the XZ/XZA variant. The additional safety feature it has is the rear parking camera. Unlike other variants, the XZ+/XZA+ variant comes with automatic climate control. Most of the remaining features are similar to the XZ variant.

Price – Rs 5.99 lakhs – 6.6 lakhs (ex-showroom)
