The Verna facelift has recently been launched and the car gets a lot of changes on it in every aspect.

The Verna has been doing pretty well in its segment and this facelift will further strengthen its position. We compare the facelift to the old model and find out all the major changes that are seen on the Verna facelift below.

Verna facelift design

The car does get some changes on the outside as we often see with other facelifts. These include revised headlights, bumpers and tail-lights. It also gets projector headlamps along with Daytime Running Lights and a new set of alloy wheels.

Verna facelift engines

The Verna facelift gets a completely new set of engines and transmissions. It gets the new 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine as seen in the Hyundai Venue. This engine produces 120 bhp. It will only be available with the seven-speed DCT transmission. This engine and gearbox combination will make the car one of the best performers in its segment. Apart from this engine, it will get the 115 bhp 1.5 litres naturally aspirated petrol along with the 115 bhp 1.4-litre diesel engine as well. Both these engines will come with a six-speed manual as standard while the petrol will get the option of a CVT gearbox, the diesel will get a torque converter transmission as an option.

Verna facelift interiors

The overall interiors of the car have been changed. The interiors now use higher quality plastics than the earlier car.

It also gets a lot of changes in terms of changes and one of the most noticeable one is the car getting an all-new digital instrument cluster.

It also gets certain features such as an electric boot and you also get ventilated front seats along with the blue link connectivity that has features like geofencing, turning on the car and a lot of controls that you access from your phone itself. The Verna facelift gets the new 8-inch touchscreen as well. It also gets many new features such as wireless charging, rear USB ports and a new Arkamys sound system.

Drawback

The only drawback is that most of these features will only be available on the top trims only. It seems like this year is a hectic one for Hyundai as it has already launched the new Creta and will also possibly launch the Tucson facelift and the new i20. Check out our video on the new Verna :
