Compass 7-seater design

The design of the Compass seven seater will not be completely different. The car will not look like a stretched Compass and will look like a proportionate car as a whole. The wheelbase of the car will be increased. The car will also get a boxy design to increase the headroom for the rear passengers. The overall windows of the car will also be bigger to make the cabin airier and give the third-row passengers a comfortable experience. It will even get a different grille design as well as a new set of alloys.

Engine and gearbox

The car will get the 2.0-litre diesel that does duty on the Jeep Compass. This engine produces 170 bhp and is mated to a six-speed manual as well as a nine-speed auto.

The Compass 7 seater could also get a more powerful engine from the FCA family which is the 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel that produces 200 bhp.

If this engine does come it will be an attractive buy for performance enthusiasts.

The car is also said to have a different suspension setup as well as a different steering system.

Launch and pricing

The launch of the vehicle has been postponed and it should now be launched next year itself. Many upcoming cars will rival the 7-seater Compass such as the Tiguan all space and the Skoda Kodiaq. This car is being developed for countries such as India where this is a demand for seven-seater SUVs. The pricing of the car will be more than the Jeep Compass and it will be around 25-30 lakh (ex-showroom). You can check our review on the Jeep compass:
