Exterior Design and Dimension

We’ll start from the old hatchback Alto K10. The design language of the vehicle is like most of the hatchbacks. It has pretty basic design language, but that isn’t bad at all. The width of the Alto measures around 1,515 mm, length around 3,545 mm and height around 1,475 mm.

Maruti Alto K10

Newly arrived Maruti S-Presso pretty much looks like an SUV, but considering the dimensions, it’s still hatchback. However, the SUV body makes the car to appear bigger than it is. The dimensions of the S-Presso are as following- width 1,520, length 3,565, height 1,564. Comparing the dimensions of both cars, Maruti S-Press is a clear winner in terms of dimensions. therefore it transitions into better space at the interior.

Engine / Powertrain

Both the hatchbacks share the same powertrain. The hatchbacks come with a 1.0-litre petrol engine that produces around 67 bhp and 90 Nm of peak torque. The S-Presso has lower fuel efficiency compared with Alto K10 due to bigger frontal portion and addition body weight.

Both these vehicles have been offered with a 5-speed manual and optional 5-speed automatic transmission. Both the hatchbacks have company fitted CNG option as well.
