Yamaha has updated all its bikes to  BS6 line up and now we can also start expecting new bikes.

In the global news, there is news that the company is working on the Cygnus X 125.  The Yamaha Cygnus X 125 if launched in Taiwan then has a high probability to make it to India. Let’s take a look at what this Yamaha Ray Cygnus has to offer?

Why do we expect the Yamaha Cygnus X 125?

With the growing competition in the 125cc segment, Yamaha has already put forth their Ray ZR and Facino in 125cc segment. We still have the Cygnus Alpha and it has not received any BS6 update. With a Yamaha Cygnus X 125 they could give the segment a tough competition in terms of7 b performance. Performance is the only reason why people opt for the Yamaha brand.

Yamaha Cygnus X 125 Engine

The scooter will be a performance-focused scooter. It will get a water-cooled engine which is rare on a scooter. The engine will be a high revving and it will be happy to rev as it is water-cooled. With more revs comes more power. So we can expect a power above 10 BHP on this scooter. The current 124cc scooter makes 9 BHP of power.

The torque figure will be something to wait for.

Yamaha Cygnus X 125 Side

The design of the scooter will be sporty and sharp. The scooter will have aggressive styling and will get a lot of modern touches. It will get LED setup at both lights and it will also have a sporty and aggressive design. Taking a look at the Taiwanese spy shots we can confirm that the rearview mirrors are borrowed from the NMax. The Yamaha NMax is another scooter that we are expecting to come to India to compete with the upcoming Honda Forza 300. The scooter will get alloy wheels of 12 inches for more stability. The Yamaha Cygnus X 125 instrument cluster will be taken from the NMax too. It will be a complete digital unit.

Yamaha Cygnus Alpha BS4

The current existing Yamaha Cygnus Alpha is still listed on the Yamaha website in India. This scooter is a 113cc scooter which produces a power of 7 bhp and a torque of 8 Nm. the scooter is good scooter but it has fallen prey to time and the updated competition. We expect Yamaha to give this scooter a BS6 update and make it their first 110cc BS6 scooter to compete with the Honda Active and the TVS Jupiter. Also here is the review of the TVS Jupiter BS6. Make sure to tell us in the comments if you wish to see the scooter in India soon.
