Honda has updated the Dio 110. This scooter gets an update in design and equipped with the scooter with a few new features. The Activa 125 and Activa 6g have been the inspiration for this scooter. With the BS6 update to the Honda Dio, Honda is slowly moving towards the end of making their entire lineup BS6 compliant. Honda has changed a lot on the Honda Dio with the BS6 update. Here is a list of the changes made on the BS6 Honda Dio.

BS6 Honda Dio Price

The Price of the Honda Dio has now increased in the wake of BS6. There are two variants of the model – The Standard cost for Rs 59,990 and the Deluxe variant is priced at Rs 63,340. The differences between the two variants are in terms of a few features and braking options.

Dimensions Change

The main change on the scooter is the change in dimensions. The BS6 version of the scooter is now increased by 27 mm in length. It is wider by 13mm in length and also 17 mm taller than the previous scooter.

All this is possible because of the main increase in the wheelbase by 22mm. Also as on the new Activa 6g, this BS6 Honda Dio gets a 12-inch steel wheel up front. This will result in better stability while riding as we have experienced it on the Honda Activa 6g.

Features Explained

The BS6 Honda Dio has got a big style update. The silhouette of the scooter remains the same but it now gets LED headlamps. It also gets split grab rails and body graphics. The instrument cluster of the scooter is now completely digital and it also gets now information like range and distance to empty. This is what even the Activa 6g misses on. The instrument cluster also packs average fuel efficiency and real-time fuel efficiency monitor. The BS6 Honda Dio gets an engine start-stop switch. This is Honda’s new multi-function key tumbler. This allows the under-seat storage and the external fuel filler. It also gets a side stand engine cut off.

The Honda Dio gets a 110cc single-cylinder engine. It now gets fuel injection system and (eSP) Enhanced Smart Power.

Because of the fuel injection, it will now give a quick cold start and the throttle response will also be precise. The engine power remains at 7.8 Bhp and the torque is at 8.7 Nm. The New Honda Dio comes with a 3 step adjustable suspension at the back. This is the same as on the Honda Activa 6g.

All these new changes on the scooter make the Honda line up much clearer for customers. If you just want a scooter then you can go for the Honda Activa 6g, if you want a modern-looking and more feature-packed scooter you can go for the Honda Dio. And lastly, if you want the complete package you can go for the Honda Activa 125 BS6. Here is our review of the Honda Activa 6g.
