Honda’s statement

Yavinder Singh Guleria, who is the senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India, said, “Encouraged by the excitement received from customers for the Forza 300s displayed at Honda BigWing, Gurugram (which were pre-booked), Honda decided to introduce it in India. We are pleased to announce that we have delivered the first lot of four units to our customers. Moving forward, we will announce the Euro 5 (BS6) compliant version in FY 2021.” The scooter is expected to launch with a BS6 compliant engine next year.

BS6 Forza 300 Engine

The current engine in the BS4 compliance gets a 279cc single-cylinder engine. It gets liquid cooling with fuel injection. The engine uses a SOHC four-valve layout which enables it to deliver 25 bhp and 27 nm of torque.

The 27 Nm of torque might seem too much for a scooter but this is managed by HSTC –  Honda Selectable Torque Control. This is a primitive traction control system on this scooter. This helps to maintain the traction on the rear wheel by calculating the slip ratio between wheels and controlling the engine torque by overriding the fuel injection system.

Forza 300 Specifications

This Honda Forza 300 Scooter sits on a tubular steel frame. It gets 33mm telescopic forks. The rear suspension on the vehicle gets twin shock absorbers with 7 step adjustment for pre-load. The front wheel of the scooter is a 15-inch wheel whereas the rear gets 14-inch tyre. The Honda BS6 Forza 300 also uses disc brakes at both ends which is a necessity with this amount of power. Also, there is a dual-channel ABS provided for safety.

Honda Forza 300 Features

This being a high-performance scooter gets all the quirks that we see on a premium sports bike. It gets an electric screen with Digi-analogue cluster. The scooter also gets storage space for 2 full-face helmets. There is a speedometer and also a tachometer. The instrument cluster provides a lot of information like range, current mileage, trip meter, average mileage, ambient temperature, thermometer and battery sensor.

Honda Forza 300 Expected Price

The International model sells for Rs 4.65 lakhs. The BS6 model is expected to cost slightly costlier. The bike, for now, had come as a CBU unit. If it is homologated as a CKD unit then the price can be brought down to Rs 3 lakhs.
