Let us one by one analyze the details and features it will possess in upcoming 2020 Hyundai Creta.

The Dashboard

The dashboard design is very much refreshed and upmarket. It is of-course a dual tone unit, but it will now possess more light-toned elements compared with the BS4 counterpart. The dashboard design is pretty much simple and straightforward compared with predecessor. Therefore, it will have more storage space options. The A/C vents gets a concentric-type structure and will have chrome treatment. The touch-screen infotainment system will be in the range of 8-inch.

The current model’s circular steering wheel will be replaced by flat bottom steering wheel and will be a sportier unit compared with the BS4 counterpart. The instrument console seems like an analog unit and not the digital one.

The upholstery will be gone away with the full-black treatment and will be a dual-tone unit. The middle seat of second row will now get an  adjustable headrest, which is a good inclusion indeed. It will have A/C vents for the second row as well. The boot space seems to be bigger than the BS4 counterpart. Considering the boot space we can hope for the 7-seater version of the Creta.

Powertrain

The 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to come with similar engine options as the Kia Seltos. The engine options includes- 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. The engines will be BS6 complaint units. The sketches clearly showed the automatic gearbox knob. Therefore it is safe to assume that the compact SUV will have similar transmission options as the Kia Seltos. The Kia Seltos is available with several gearbox options including 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox for 1.4-litre turbo-petrol variant.

Price

The price of the 2020 Hyundai Creta is expected to be competitive and will be somewhat similar to the pricing of Kia Seltos. For reference, the Kia Seltos starts at Rs 9.89 lakhs(ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 17.34 lakhs(ex-showroom) for the GTX top trim. It is expected to go on sale by the month of April 2020. It will be competing against the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and upcoming Skoda Vision IN.
