Volvo has launched its S60 Cross Country sedan at INR 42.7 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai).  Volvo has introduced an altogether new segment in India with S60 Cross Country. The S60 sedan already sells in India and the Cross Country version of this sedan will be powered by petrol as well as diesel engine options.

The Volvo S60 Cross Country is a raised S60 sedan and also gets a body kit to add to the muscular look.

The S60 Cross Country is a crossover of the S60 sedan which can do a bit of off-roading with ease. The S60 Cross Country is the first ever sedan crossover to be launched on our shores. Crossover versions of hatchbacks are generally more popular. The design of the S60 Cross Country brings a sporty, unconventional and adventurous edge to the sedan. The increased ground clearance of 210mm is a first-in-class and adds a go-anywhere capability to the sedan.

Apart from the raised stance, this sedan has an AWD  option. The S60 Cross Country rides 65mm higher than the regular S60 sedan and gets an option of 18-inch or 19-inch rims. We aren’t certain if it will come to India with an AWD, as it isn’t of much relevance to the Indian car market. It is more useful for regions that have snow.
