Tata Winger facelift unveiled- Auto Expo 2020

Tata Winger is a popular people mover launched back in 2007. Now it gets a proper facelift with Harrier inspired styling. It rivals the Force Motors Traveller. To know more about the features and specification of Tata Winger, scroll below.

Design

The design is based on Tata’s impact 2.0 design language, which were earlier seen on Harrier and Altroz. The front section is now much more radical and stylish compared to the predecessor.  The grille now has chrome treatment with LED DRLs connecting the line smoothly. The main headlight is below the LED DRLs.

Overall the front of winger now looks much more modern and stylish.

From side it did get some of the tweaks, such as it now gets new five-spoke alloy wheels. The pillars have the piano black finish treatment. It gets all new rear doors and taillamps. It will have quite funky colour options to distinct itself apart.

Interior

The 2020 Tata Winger gets very fresh and upmarket interior. The dashboard gets a new steering wheel, similar to other Tata passenger cars. The vehicle is equipped with modern features like touchscreen infotainment, piano black finishes and silver garnish around the AC control knobs. The seating configuration is of 15 passenger plus 1 driver which totals 16 passengers. It gets sufficient room for average heighten person to stand and move inside the vehicle.

Winger is built on monocoque chassis, which ensures good ride quality. The chassis also lowers the noise, vibration and harshness levels compared to body-on-frame chassis.

Engine

It gets 2.0-litre diesel engine producing around 89 bhp max power and 190 Nm peak torque. The engine is mated to five-speed manual gearbox. It is expected to return around 10 km/l mileage on the average basis.

Price

Price is expected to be around Rs 12 lakhs(ex-showroom). It will compete against the Force Traveller and other such type of vehicles. It will be a good options for the fleet, school and company associates.
