A few weeks ago it was rumoured that Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will not get BS6 upgrade. But Recently the test mule of RS200 BS6 was spotted in the public area. It will have certain changes over the current BS4 model.

To know about the features of the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200  BS6 scroll below.

Bajaj RS200 BS6- changes

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 BS6 will retain most of the features from its predecessor. It will have Perimeter Frame chassis. It will continue to get the same fairing from the BS4 model. Seat height and dimensions will remain the same as the BS4. It will have LED headlamp and tail-lamps with DRls to enhance the looks. The BS6 variant might get new colours. The suspension duty will be handled by telescopic forks at the front and Nitrox mono-shock at the rear. Braking will be managed by 300 mm disc at the front and 230 mm disc at the rear. The brakes will be assisted by the two-channel ABS system. It will continue to have clip-on handlebars.

The BS6 version will continue to get tubeless front tyre of 100/80-17 and tubeless rear tyre of 130/70-17. The tyres will accommodate to 17-inch alloy wheels at front and rear. However, from the test mule, it observed that no changes have been made to alloy wheels design.

RS200 Engine

The significant changes will be seen in the engine. The engine will be carried forward from the BS4 model with the tweaks of BS6 norms. The current BS4 engine is a fuel-injected 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit producing 24.5 bhp at 9750 rpm and 18.6 Nm at 8000 rpm. However power might drop significantly up to 1 bhp, but throttle response will be better than the BS4 model. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Rider Assist features

Rider assist features might get upgraded with RS200 BS6 as it is not clear from spy shots. The current rider assist features include semi-digital instrument console, two-trip meter, fuel level indicator, engine kill switch, etc. It might also get the hazard light switch.

Price

The price is expected to be premium over 8,000 to 10,000 premium over the BS4 model. For reference BS4 model is priced at Rs 1,40,717 (ex-showroom).

The bike is likely to go on sale in march. The bike competes against Fazer 250. Due to power to weight ratio R15 too competes with RS200. Check out our video on below of R15.
