TVS Creon was an electric scooter concept shown at the Auto Expo 2018. After 2 years TVS has finally launched the iQube Electric scooter. This scooter is available only in Bangalore. This competes with the Ather and the Bajaj Chetak Electric. As the iQube does not take many styling cues from the TVS Creon its good to assume that the TVS Creon is yet to come to the Market. Read further to know more about the TVS Creon and why we think that TVS might launch it?

What is TVS Creon?

The TVS Creon is a concept of a sporty looking Electric scooter. When it was showcased at Auto Expo 2018 it looked very futuristic and sporty. The Scooter has an exposed mono-shock along with diamond cut alloy wheels. It has a split in the footwell area. There were a lot of design lines on the vehicle. It was showcased with disc brakes at the front and rear and had single-channel ABS. Along with this, it was displayed in a racing red and white colour scheme. It also had the badging of electric future which can now be seen on the TVS iQube.

Why do we expect TVS Creon?

You might be wondering,  “Why will TV put out another Electric scooter?”. The TVS iQube because of its specifications and styling looks very much commuterish. It also takes some of the design cues from the TVS Jupiter.

So if iQube is considered as the electric equivalent of the TVS Jupiter then the TVS Creon could be the electric equivalent of the TVS Ntorq. The TVS iQube caps at 78km/hr which is close to the Ather 450. With the launch of Ather 450X and its extreme acceleration TVS will need to put a rival to it. This is where the TVS Creon will come in.

Creon Concept Specifications

The Creon shown at the Auto Expo 2018 had an electric motor which produced 16bhp of power. The 0-60 was seen at 5.1 sec. Also, the split in the footwell of the scooter was made to accommodate additional batteries. This will give the scooter a range of 80 km on a single charge.

The Charging socket of the scooter is placed on the partition of the scooter.

TVS Creon Features

The Creon will come with a better version of the SmartConnect feature of TVS. It might also get a touchscreen for the instrument cluster.

This might also get a few new features like the regenerative braking. The regenerative braking will also increase the range of the vehicle. It will also increase battery life. The Scooter will also get a drive mode. The fast charging time for the scooter is 1 hr. Also, there will be App support for the vehicle which will show the battery status of the vehicle. This scooter will also have park assist feature too. A 4G sim integrated with the scooter is also expected so as to give it features like geofencing and other location-based apps. This is already seen on the Ather 450X.

The Scooter will get LED lights at both end. The switches might be the same as on the TVS iQube. This scooter will be launched when TVS has made their mark in the Electric mobility segment. The company has already set out with the TVS iQube. If this scooter succeeds in Bangalore then the company might launch the TVS Creon in most of the metro cities in India.
