2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Spied – expected with Smart Hybrid
Vitara Brezza is the sub-four-meter compact SUV offering from Maruti Suzuki. It competes with Nexon, Venue, EcoSport. While days are nearing to AutoExpo 2020, many of the details are coming forward. We get to know more about the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza from the new spy shots. Some of the spy shots are camouflaged.

2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Launch
This vehicle is expected to be launched in Auto Expo 2020. This has been confirmed by the manufacturer that it will launch on 6th Feb. Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to have Smart Hybrid technology inbuilt. The technology was seen on previous Maruti vehicles such as Ciaz and XL6. Most of Maruti vehicles are BS6 ready so it is expected that Maruti will launch its BS6 compliant line up at Auto Expo 2020.
What is Maruti Vitara Brezza?
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was launched back in March 2016. Subcompact SUV segment was competitive so Maruti wanted to get the market share. Since the launch, it did get a minor update. And now the car is getting ready for a major facelift. Maruti Vitara Brezza was derived from its bigger sibling Grand Vitara Brezza.
Brezza Engine
It is obvious that it would forbid it’s BS4 D13A 1.3 litre diesel engine due to stricter emission norms commencing from 1st April. It will revamp its K15B petrol engine to uphold BS6 regulations. The engine will comply with Suzuki’s mild-hybrid technology known as SHVS ( Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki).
This is clearly seen in the spy shots.
The gearbox might be similar to the current Maruti Brezza. The current gearbox offerings are five-speed manual and four-speed automatic. The Suzuki’s K15B engine is naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing max 77 kW ( 104.7 PS) and 138 Nm of max torque.
New Features
Examining the spy shots, the new facelift will get different tail lamp design. The facelift might also get revised seat cover and interiors. It will fetch a new infotainment system. We expect that it might receive a new alloy wheel design as well. The front grille will have different styling contrast to the predecessor. Front bumper might reap revised styling.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza has always enjoyed the highest sales number in the sub-four meter compact SUV segment. It is just been a few months since Maruti Suzuki Brezza has dropped sales noticeably. Hyundai Venue might be one of the reason.
By giving it the facelift, it might see the rise in the sales again.
The sub-four meter SUV segment will become even more competitive after the launch of Kia compact SUV, Renault HBC and Citroen compact SUV. So the price of Brezza is predicted to be aggressive in the sub-four-meter compact SUV segment. Current pricing of Vitara Brezza starts from Rs 7.62 lacs (ex-showroom).
