Overview

When the Creta was launched in the country back in in 2015, it took the market by storm as it proved to be a perfect family SUV for the public. Well, it’s been 5 years since the launch, and the design does seem to have aged now. With the market place getting stormed by a host of new SUVs such as the MG Hector and the Kia Seltos, the New Hyundai Creta will surely have its work cut out for itself. As reported by us earlier, the new Creta gets a completely new design and a host of new features, so as to successfully re-establish its place in the market. The 2020 Creta is also going to borrow some design cues from the ix25 that has been launched globally.

New Hyundai Creta Design

The front and the back has both getting complete redesigned from the ground up, with all-new taillights and also a new bumper design. On the inside, the cabin is going to be dominated by a huge screen that will span all the way to the bottom of the dashboard giving it a tesla-like look. This will contain all the functions of the car. The interior is filled with high-quality plastics along with a completely new gear lever designs with some functional buttons next to it that gives it the feel of a premium brand.

The car is also expected to get the new blue link connectivity that will allow you to start the car remotely from your phone while also controlling other features. Overall the car is going to increase in length and width both as is seen with many manufacturers when updating their previous models. This will also result in getting more space on the inside.

2020 Creta engines and pricing

The car is expected to get the new BS6 compliant 1.5L petrol and diesel engines, both of which will produce 115 hp. These engines are also seen on its sister car the Kia Seltos and will come coupled with both manual and automatic gearboxes. The prices are not expected to go much higher than before, but they will surely get an increase of around 50,000 with the introduction of the new BS6 engines. The car is expected to be launched soon after the Auto Expo 2020 and will go up against the likes of the Tata Harrier the Kia Seltos and the MG Hector.
