Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG confirmed – Launch soon
India has started a moment for greener and cleaner energy by implementing stricter emission norms and promoting CNG, hybrid vehicles. It has currently around 1500 CNG stations in pan India and is planning to set up 10,000 CNG stations in 10 years. So buying the CNG vehicle in today’s period makes more sense than buying an expensive electric vehicle. While Maruti Suzuki has already 6 CNG cars on the sales, Hyundai is trying to increase its CNG portfolio by launching Grand i10 Nios CNG. Hyundai currently has Santro, Grand i10 and Xcent in the CNG lineup. By launching Nios CNG it will be company’s 4th CNG fitted vehicle.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG Engine Specifications
The Grand i10 Nios is currently offered in 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 81 bhp of maximum power and 114 Nm of peak torque. The CNG variant will only have an option of a petrol engine. Variants
Grand i10 CNG is currently offered only in Magna trim, we expect Grand i10 Nios to be launched in similar trim.
