TVS electric scooter spy shots surface
The TVS electric scooter has been a long awaited product. Till some time ago the scooter was rumored to be the TVS Cube or the TVS Creon. The images seen here are of the TVS electric scooter testing near Hosur where the companies factory is situated. TVS Motor’s CEO K N Radhakrishnan, said in May last year during the Full Year 2019 Earnings Conference Call that the company would unveil its new electric vehicle by the end of the financial year (by 31 March 2020). The firm has confirmed the development of an electric scooter series two years ago. So will we finally see the scooter in production form this year? Find out more below.
TVS Electric Scooter Design
The scooter gets a front similar to the Creon concept shown at the 2018 Auto Expo. The TVS electric scooter is gets front disc brake, telescopic suspension, a wide floorboard, and a contemporary body design. The scooter gets a hub-mounted motor and a similar tail section like that of the Jupiter. The scooter will also get more design touches like LED headlamps and tailamps. There instrument cluster will be a complete digital one.
Features like a charging socket will be used too. The TVS electric scooter will get alloy wheels at the front and rear.

Electric motor, range and charging
While there is no information on this, the scooter shown at the Auto Expo featured a “next-generation 12 kW electric motor” which offered a 0-60 kmph acceleration in 5.1 seconds with a range of 80 km to the charge.
The Creon concept showed us three high density Lithum-ion batteries.
Now the scooter unlike the Chetak which it will get fast charging with the batteries achieving a 80% charge in 1 hour.
TVS might show this scooter, this month itself as it is not participating in the 2020 Auto Expo. The TVS electric scooter will compete with the Bajaj Chetak that was recently launched for Rs 1 lakh. Stay tuned for more on this.
