The Honda City 2020 is a highly anticipated car in India. Having shown it already in the South Asian markets like Thailand, the car will be making its way soon to India. The City is going to get a whole host of changes now. This is going to be the 5th generation car and will be an important one as the competition makes itself better every year. 1) Completely new design

The 2020 Honda City is going to be completely new. Upfront, the car gets sleeker headlamps, sportier bumpers, and a more subtle side and rear design. Overall the car is aggressive upfront and very understated from every other angle.

The options for the engines will include a 1.0-litre turbo petrol that makes 122bhp, a 1.5-litre petrol hybrid option and the current 1.5-litre diesel engine that will be made BS6 compliant. There will be an option of a CVT and manual gearbox with all engine options except the turbo petrol.

3) Dimensions and size

Overall, this is a bigger car. The Honda City measures a length of 4,533 mm, a width of 1,748 mm and has a height of 1,467 mm, making it 100 mm longer, 53 mm wider and 28 mm shorter than the outgoing model.

4) Interior and features

The 2020 Honda City, of course, gets a new interior. The dashboard and seats are all black now and the buttons get an aluminum finish. Apart from that, one gets a eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Honda Connect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus the usual convenience of  automatic climate control system, push-button start-stop, leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls. The Honda City will continue to be a good place to spend your time in the city or highway.

5) Honda City Price and competition

The competition for the City will continue to be the following = Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Maruti Ciaz and the Toyota Yaris. It will be a bit more expensive obviously. We expect Rs 1.5 lakhs increase in the ex-showroom asking price.
