Tata has another very busy year ahead of themselves, packed with a lot of new cars, EVs and mid-lift facelifts for existing models. One of these upcoming cars includes the entry-level car from the manufacturer – the 2020 Tata Tiago facelift. Images of the car testing have surfaced online and we too have the now received spy shots the car but most importantly the interior has been spotted by one of our readers. So what is new on the 2020 Tiago facelift and should you be excited?

Take a look at the spy shots below and find out more now.

2020 Tata Tiago facelift Changes

Firstly let’s talk about the exterior, the car seems to have a completely revised front where the hood, grille, bumper and the headlamps have all changed. The Tiago now resembles it’s elder sibling the Tata Altroz with this sharper look. The side remains unchanged and carries on the same profile as the current Tiago. Overall the front and side now look like a natural progression of the Humanity 2.0 design language of the Tiago.

They appear to be the same 15-inch tyres that the Tiago had earlier. The rear gets new taillights that look bigger and the bumper has also changed here.

But now let’s take a look at the interior here. There is an all-new instrument cluster which is a digital one and the car we see here appears to be a top variant with the AMT gearbox and big 7.0-inch touchscreen in the center console. The new facelifted Tiago could also get a push-button start, cruise control (steering mounted controls not visible here) and some more features at the rear like an armrest for the passengers.

Engine and price

The 1.2-litre petrol engine that is available with the Tiago will be updated to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms.

Power should remain the same and it will be managed by the same 5-speed manual and AMT automatic gearbox options.

The new Tata Tiago facelift will not be made available with a diesel engine as Tata has decided to discontinue all small diesel engines. We could see a CNG option paired with the petrol engine in the future. The car is currently priced from Rs 4.3 lakhs to Rs 6.3 lakhs (ex-showroom). We will see a slight increase in price here.
