KTM RC 200 BS6 expected soon!

The KTM RC 200 BS6 is a bike that will be pushing the 200cc rock-solid engine from KTM into the era of BS6 vehicle. The bike was expected at the Indian Bike Week 2019. However, it never made it there but we think that the bike will arrive on the market soon. This bike is a proper balance between price and power in the complete RC lineup. The BS6 version will surely be priced higher but how much exactly is the question. This bike was the bike which offered a small engine track-focused vehicle. It was the entry-level RC till the introduction of the KTM RC 125. This bike offered a committed riding posture along with a frantic power of 200cc engine from KTM. 

This bike was introduced in 2015 and it has got a mild update in terms of a new exhaust and graphics. The design till date looks timeless and this is because it was way ahead of its time. The dual projector setup has good functionality and it does not intrude in terms of design aesthetics. The bike looks a mean track machine and the riders triangle has been tweaked to the same. Now it has been 5 years since it has been introduced and updating it now will be a right move for KTM. 

For the BS6 update, we are expecting a major overhaul of the engine. The catalytic converter had heating issues which might get fixed and the ECU will also get a chance. The power figures of this engine might see some drop but we expect that this might not be a big one so that it will make a difference in normal city riding. The fuel injection setting will be changed and the bike will become slightly efficient. Apart from this, we can also expect that the bike will get a new digital instrument cluster. As of now, KTM has only 2 instrument clusters. The one on the Duke 390 and the other is seen on all KTM bikes. The one on the Duke 390 will not make it on the other bike. This new instrument cluster that we are expecting will be more of a redesign in the old meter. The old meter did not lack any information just that it feels outdated. The is the bike being a high revving bike has a lot of vibration. And to cut those vibrations it will get rubber mounts at places. Apart from these, the pillion seat of this bike is an area where KTM is expected to work but this might be skipped for a global design update. The price of this bike currently at Rs 1.89 lakhs. This will see an increase of Rs 10,000 as for the BS6 model. This bike is priced at the top of the 200cc segment and it is justifiable as the vehicle competes with bikes that are in the 250cc segment.
